How Investing in Real Estate Positively Impacts Your Local Economy

We invest in real estate because there is a ripple effect that positively impacts our local economy and community in a big way. The direct reason we like to invest in real estate is to help the home owner out of a bad situation like missing payments or excessive repairs; but, just helping the home owner is only the beginning of the positive impact ripple affect.

Ripple 1: Sellers. When we buy a house from a struggling home owner, we help that family out of a bad situation and they get the relief of having their problem resolved by us. After they move out, they relocate to a better living situation. Sometimes that means more affordable housing. When the selling family is settled in their new home they’ll have more disposable income to spend in the local community so their new local community is also given some new cash flow.

When we evaluate houses for Zippy Home Buyer to buy, we may house very well-screened tenants in it and keep it as a rental, we may invest thousands into it and then sell it on the retail market on the MLS, or if it doesn’t fit our buying criteria, we’ll pass it along to another investor who will solve the seller’s problem.

Ripple 2: Jobs. After we buy a house, we always spend money in the local area and put locals to work. We prefer to use local contractors to update the houses we buy. So if you know a contractor with availability & great references, we’d love to get them to work!

Ripple 3: Suppliers In order for the contractors to do their jobs, they’ll need materials. We buy our materials from local suppliers, which helps their sales and maintains jobs for their employees.

Ripple 4: Neighbors. Once we’ve updated a house, it’s the best looking house on the block. This is how we improve property values for the neighbors!

Ripple 5: Real Estate Professionals. When we sell a house on the retail market, a lot of professionals are involved. Two real estate agents, Title company employees, Inspectors, Handymen/contractors, Appraisers, Bank Loan Brokers, etc. They all get a cut of the deal by the end of closing.

Ripple 6: Buyers. When a new family buys the house Zippy Home Buyer recently updated, they have gone through the wringer with their bank and have proven it’s affordable for them. More than likely they’ll have disposable income that they’re able to spend in the local economy at grocery stores, local festivals, boutiques, etc.

Bonus Ripple: Normally, after a house has been updated, the neighbors take notice of their own houses and begin to make updates or just clean up their own houses and yards.

We broke this down to explain that Zippy Home Buyer cares deeply about how our work affects those around us in a positive way. Helping someone out of a tough situation makes it less stressful for them and provides relief and breathing room to be able to think of a way to create a sustainable way of life for themselves. At the same time, when they move into a more affordable/appropriate housing situation, they have more disposable income which improves their mental state.

Going beyond just the seller, the work we do with real estate creates & maintains jobs for locals and a great buying opportunity for the home buyers! Ask yourself, who do I know who has mentioned selling their house, has financial distress, or just an astounding amount of repairs that need to be done?

Help us help others and improve our local economy by telling us about a property on this form now!
